How to Redeem S&H Green Stamps

S&H Green Stamps were most popular in the United States from the 1930s to 1970s. Customers received S&H stamps from cashiers at supermarkets, gas stations and other retail locations, collect them in books, and redeem them for merchandise from local Green Stamps stores or the S&H Idea Book catalog. Today, S&H offers "greenpoints" as rewards for purchases made on the Internet. While they used to honor Green Stamps as well, they do not do that any longer and you cannot redeem Green Stamps. Previously, you would have followed this method.

In addition to a wide selection of housewares, toys and other merchandise, you can also exchange greenpoints for gift cards redeemable at major retailers.
The rate of exchange for Green Stamps to greenpoints is 1 to 1. If you prefer cash, S&H will give you $1.20 for every 1200 Green Stamps that you redeem.

No matter how you want to redeem your stamps, registering with the website is required.
If you do not have any of collector's books, you may affix the stamps to an 8-1/2 X 11 piece of paper. The company will not accept stamps that are mailed in loose.

Put your books or sheets of stamps into a large envelope or a shipping box and include a note that contains the following information:
- Your name, address, email address and phone number.
- Your S&H Member Number, which you received when you registered at the site.
- The total number of stamps you are enclosing.
- Whether you want to redeem your stamps for cash or greenpoints.

Mail your envelope via certified mail to the following address:
- S&H Solutions;
- ATTN: Green Stamps Processing Department;
- South Congress Avenue, Suite 200;
- Delray Beach, FL 33445.
Wait a few weeks for processing, then watch for a check in the mail or log into your greenpoints account to see your new points added.

S&H Green Stamps do have some value as collectibles, but you can’t redeem them for goods anymore. If you’re interested in buying or selling vintage stamps, you can find them on websites like eBay.

Green stamps were available from a wide variety of retailers, including local department stores, supermarkets, and even gas stations. Some stores, like Piggly Wiggly, did not give out green stamps because they had their own competing trade stamps.

You can no longer redeem S&H Award Certificates. Unlike S&H Green Stamps, the Award Certificates were all printed with an expiration date and all are now expired.
