How to Reset Your Spotify Username and Password

If you forgot your Spotify password, you can easily reset it; if you forgot your username, however, you cannot change it. You can, however, change your display name, and this wikiHow will teach you that as well as how to reset your password.

Changing Your Display Name Using the Mobile App

  1. This app icon looks like radio waves on a green background that you can find on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching.

Resetting Your Password Using a Web Browser

  1. Go to Spotify's reset password link . You can use any desktop or mobile browser to reset your Spotify password. [2]
  2. You'll need access to that email so you can reset the password.
  3. If you've used the email address you entered to create a Spotify account, you'll see a confirmation page. If you've entered either the username or email incorrectly, you'll see an error message.
  4. You'll see the sender of the email is listed as Spotify.
    • If you don't see it in your inbox, you may need to check the spam folder.
  5. You'll see this in bright green text above your Spotify username, which might be a bunch of letters and numbers.
  6. You'll need to enter a new password and click to check the box next to "I'm not a robot" before continuing.
