Easily share contact information from WhatsApp & your address book

Steps

Open WhatsApp and tap Chats . This is located at the bottom of your screen, and the icon looks like two speech bubbles.

Open a chat. This should be the person with whom you want to share the contact. Simply scroll through your list of chats and tap on their name. [1] X Research source

Tap + . This is located in the bottom left of your screen.

Tap on the contact that you want to share. Now simply scroll through your contacts list , or search for their name in the top search bar, and tap on their name.
- If you want to share your contact information, you can tap yourself in the contacts list.

Tap Done . This is located in the top right corner.

Tap on any contact info you don’t want to share (optional). If there are multiple pieces of information, such as an email and phone number, you have the option to select which one to send. Simply tap on one of the options to unselect it.

1Open the chat you want to share a contact in. If you're using WhatsApp on your computer , you can easily share a contact with any recipient or group chat. Click the chat or recipient you want to share the contact information with in the menu panel to the left.

2Click the + icon or paperclip. It’s at the bottom of the chat next to the text field where you enter your messages. If you are using the Mac app or the web application, it will be a plus sign. If you are using the Windows app, it will be an icon that resembles a paperclip.

5Click Share # contacts or the paper airplane icon. If you are using the Windows application, tap Share # contacts at the top of the contacts list. “#” is the number of contacts you selected. If you are using the web application or Mac app, click the icon that resembles a paper airplane at the bottom. This will send the contact information over the chat.
