This wikiHow teaches you how to use the TRANSPOSE function in Google Sheets for Android to swap column data with row data (and vice-versa).
Steps
-
Open Google Sheets. It's the green icon with a white spreadsheet outline. You'll usually find it in the app drawer or on the home screen.
-
Tap the file that contains your data. The contents of the spreadsheet will appear.Advertisement
-
Tap an empty cell. This cell is where you'll want the data to begin.
-
Type =TRANSPOSE() into the “fx” box.
-
Tap () . It should be highlighted in gray.
-
Select the range you want to transpose. Tap the first cell in the range, then drag your finger until the entire range is highlighted. The range will now appear between the parenthesis after the TRANSPOSE function.
- For example, if you selected B2:C25, the formula will look like this: =TRANSPOSE(B2:C25)
-
Tap the check mark. It's at far-right edge of the “fx” box. The formula will run and swap the column data with row data (and vice-versa).Advertisement
