Pressure Cooker Pinto Beans Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 pound dried pinto beans
* 1 onion, chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
* 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped (optional)
* 1 tbsp chili powder
* 1 tsp ground cumin
* 1 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp black pepper
* 4 cups water or vegetable broth
Instructions:
Rinse the dried pinto beans under cold running water and remove any debris or shriveled beans.
In a pressure cooker, add the rinsed beans, chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, chopped jalapeno (if using), chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and water or vegetable broth.
Close the pressure cooker and set it to high pressure for 25 minutes.
Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10-15 minutes before opening the pressure cooker.
Serve the pressure-cooked pinto beans hot as a side dish or use them in your favorite recipes.
