They’re rude to or about others.
“Hi, we’re ready to order? Actually, we’ve been ready for about an hour now, but I guess you didn’t notice…”
“What is going on with that girl over there? I think she must have gotten dressed in the dark…”
They push past your boundaries.
“Wait, so what happened in your last relationship? You can tell me, come on. It’s not like I’m going to tell anyone else.”
“I don’t think kissing on the first date is a big deal at all. Come on, it’s just a kiss.”
They get serious too quickly.
“I know it’s just our first date, but I can tell you’re the one. You’re perfect.”
“My family would absolutely love you. They’re in town this weekend, actually. I know we just started seeing each other, but they wanna meet you so bad, it would be so fun!”
They turn teasing into disrespect.
“That’s so cute you want to be an artist. Have you ever even sold a painting?”
“How many years did you say you played softball? I couldn’t quite tell based on that last game…”
They make fun of your interests, or don’t want to know about them.
“I don’t see how anyone thinks biking is fun, to be honest. Everyone looks so dumb wearing those helmets. Why do you like it so much?”
“I think old movies are kind of boring. Don’t you watch anything else?”
