Listen very closely to your opponent, and wait for slip ups on the spot- they're bound to slip up in the heat of the moment. Alternately, you can just ask them to deal with something you have said, or raise a simple question. Remember, POIs aren't really about what you say, it's about having the confidence to stand up that makes an impression on the judges.
