Hold your center. Tuck your butt and squeeze your gut and elongate your upper body. If that doesn't help, then you may want to just practice balancing on one foot. Some people have better balance than others, but with practice, it'll get better over time.

  • Question
I can do a double pirouette, but I lost my jazz shoes. Is it safe to use socks on tile when doing this? I'm using it for my dance team tryout.
    Undertale4141

Unfortunately, the answer is no. While it can be tempting to spin on tile in your socks, the floor is quite slick and hard. You'll end up with a nasty bruise if you fall.
  • Question
I try to spot but I keep on stopping. How do I spin without stopping?
    Undertale4141
    Top Answerer
Try to practice spotting with easy turns on two feet, like pivots or chainés. As for spinning, practice spinning for as long as you can and focus on keeping your lifted foot off the floor until you feel confident in your ability to turn around twice. If it helps, you can put your lifted leg into a position easier to balance in and work up to a nice passé after you've gotten the hang of it.
  • Question
If you don't have any type of ballet or dance shoes, what do you use?
    Undertale4141
    Top Answerer
You can practice in tennis shoes/sneakers. Pick a shoe that has somewhat of a grip so that you're less likely to fall.
  • Question
