How do I report an inappropriate wiki that I opened to edit?
Do you mean an inappropriate article? Feel free to post a link on my talk page at http://www.wikihow.com/User_talk:Busbyhead
and I will take the appropriate action

Hi. Does WikiHow have guidelines on whether certain topics are off limits? I just came across this article and wondered: http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Make-Your-Vagina-Smell-Good&oldid=7863304
. Thanks.

^ Yep, we do… See http://www.wikihow.com/Nominate-an-Article-for-Deletion-in-wikiHow
, it lists the reasons an article may be deleted. =)
*Heart attack* I saw Jack’s name as the first edit, and thought he wrote the article! *Horrified* Good thing anons can edit or I would have been out like a light! LOL! =) June Days

Why can’t people take the time to read wikiHows guide lines?
Nothing new, about 95% don’t.

Lazy 95%. It was the first thing I learned when I joined. Thanks Love2 for the link that helped me learn that.
^ Don’t be rude. A lot of them either, don’t think it’s nessicary, it’s too long or they can’t find it.

Why can’t someone put the rules in the welcome messages? How hard would it be?
We don’t have rules, guidelines.
People should actually read the policy before signing up. If they do harm or are mean, they were warned - And they should have read the policy, just like it requires.

Um… because they are HUMAN? We already send links to the wikiHow tour upon registration. It’s better now… believe it or not! I remember when there was no tour and newbies were expected to ferret out the writers guide (and figure it out) on their own.
LOL. Why on Earth would somebody write that. I mean really. That’s a little too personal for my likings.

Because their weird like that.
Because this is a site intended for adults. The article is a year and a half old and has had over eighty thousand views.

Then why does it say you have to be 13+ to join?
That it was COPPA says, it wouldn’t be a family friendly wikiis we didn’t allow 13 year olds. We have to handle a lot with Youth, but it still wouldn’t be right - It is aimed at adults, however, teens are somewhat helpful here.

We have some really great teen editors, but some of the older users make tons of edits a day.
