For folks who are interested in editing and patrolling more from their mobile devices, @Agent86
and @AlissaB
have been working on another option in the suite of experimental mobile tools: Mobile Tips GuardianIn the realm of tips, this is the mobile sister tool of the desktop Quality Guardian - it’s Step 1 in the review process for tips. In the tool, if you vote no on a tip that a reader has added, it’s gone for good. If you vote yes, it goes to Tips Patrol on desktop for another fix and review before being published to the article. So don’t worry about spelling or 100% accuracy at this point - just use it as a means to sift through the dirt for those helpful gold nuggets, same as Quality Guardian. And as usual, let us know if you spot any bugs or issues - always possible in tools old or new! Happy patrolling to the mobile editors!

I tried it. It seems to be a clone of Tips Patrol and Quality Guardian.

It’s the mobile version of checking tips through the Quality Guardian. Any added tip has to get checked in either Tips Guardian (if the checker is on a mobile device) or Quality Guardian (if the checker is on a desktop computer) before it goes on to Tips Patrol. This double layer of review helps sort the poor tips from the good. The flow goes like this: A reader adds a tip > It gets approved or rejected in either Tips Guardian or Quality Guardian > If approved, it goes to Tips Patrol and gets final fixes and adjustments there > It goes live to the article (and is checked in RCP, like any edit) It’s definitely a “panning for gold”
process, since we all know there are a lot of poor tips. But for folks who enjoy finding the good ones, this is just another way to do that, more easily from your mobile phone or tablet
