Admins, booster and other editors often observe that new user and editor who do not know wikiHow editting standards use first person letters like ‘I’ in this. They need to understand that wikiHow is not a blogger site or a site operated by an indivisual.

I recategorized this post for you.

I would also discourage the heavy use of templates in favour of personal coaching. Send the user to the Writer’s Guide which succinctly explains that it is a good practice to avoid personal references on wikiHow articles.

There is also this article all about the matter.

Don’t we have a {{personal}} template for that? Or is that only for articles?

+1

Yes, we have one, and if typed on the users Talk page, will send them a message telling them that we disallow personal words. I ended up having to send a test message to my alternate account (Lablover).  https://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=User\_talk%3ALablover&diff=22418709&oldid=21509369

Ah okay - So why would we create a new template for an existing one…

Why…

@ItsPugle @WikihowSaver @Tiagoroth I am asking to create an template for talk pages and not for article. We cannot explain new editor about it so easily. We also have to go in nut shell and explain them. Are you all agreeing this? If yes, then let’s continue this discussion.

I realize that. You don’t post coaching messages on an article. There is already an existing template - if you use {{personal}} on a talk page, it will send it. But all the same, I would urge you towards more personal coaching.

@Tiagaroth OK! I realized thty it can be used on talk pages. Now, I am closing this discussion as i realized that it can be done on talk pages.
