Just an idea that maybe wikiHow could have more practice tests. I know that there is already one for NAB but maybe we could make another one that’s not very long? The reason why I’m asking is because the practice test has about 9 questions and you have to re-edit everything. We should totally keep this test! But maybe we could have another one? If so, I would request a practice test for the first part of NAB. I can’t seem to get that part right!! Admins, wikiHowers, please let me know your thoughts on this idea. Also, I would really appreciate it if we had a welcomer practice test! It would be great for wikiHowers to get feedback.
Thanks!

I’m honestly not sure what we would make a second NAB practice test of. The test only had 9 questions but I tried to incorporate as many of the policies as possible. Maybe we could have one for separate policies. Such as one for merge?
Maybe. The part I am stuck at is the duplicate part.
What do you think about a practice Welcomer test??

I think welcoming people is already kinda practice, but yes more tests might be cool.
And I asked Anna about the difference between merge tags and nfd|dup. If it helps, she said, “I tend to use the NFD in cases where I’m not confident the two articles are definitely dups, because the NFD review process gives a chance to establish some consensus. Where it’s more clear, a merge/redirect will do.”
It’s also worth noting that unless we use something totally computerized (e.g. a Google Form), practice tests need to have someone willing to review the submitted answers and give feedback to the test-takers. Since welcoming doesn’t have generic examples and needs to be personalized depending on the user, it would be impossible to computerize that test, and I don’t really know if we’d have someone available to manage a Welcomer practice test.
Yeah. I agree with Alex. It might be hard to make a welcome test. I might be willing to make another one for an individual booster skill such as merging; or just coach that person on the skill they think they don’t do well in.
Since I’m a little out numbered in this idea, do you think we should close the thread?
Hey! Sorry, I’m not in charge of the NAB practice test anymore. Anyone is welcome to do that, though, as long as they know the policies

I think it can die out on its own.
