Hey! So with some guidance from @Anna , I’m reviving a project that’ll definitely help school students all around, SchoolMadeEasy. Each week, there’ll be a category (Back to School is this week) that we focus on, making improvements to articles and answering requests within that category. If you’re interested in joining, whether you’re out of school or still in, add your name to the members section!

Here’s a link to the project page: https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:SchoolMadeEasy . As said above, all are welcome to join!

Seems interesting.  Thanks for the invite.  I’ll take a look at it this evening and and think about it.

Im in!

@CcanA great! I see you’ve added your name already to the member list, which is fantastic! We’re so excited to have you onboard contributing the project:)

welcome

We’re making steady progress so far!

It’s super cool to see you guys hit the ground running with some really productive edits, without getting sidetracked by a whole lot of the project aspects that can sometimes distract or clutter the project pages. A nice example of project best practices, with a clear weekly focus and lots of collaborative problem-solving and article improvement right out of the gate!

The Back to School focus is a really neat one at this time of year, since it’s on so many people’s minds… and it’s great to see you funneling that energy into article edits that really improve content or clean up dups.

Kudos for the changes here and here - a great start for Team SchoolMadeEasy:slight_smile:

@Anna thank you so much for these kind words! I’m hoping this project will be successful:)

@Anna   Whatever helps wikiHow in its mission!

Hi, Just joined the project with the vibrant team.

@Vishshua yay! Welcome aboard:)

Thanks @XxVxX :slight_smile:I was reading this article from the project page - https://www.wikihow.com/Prepare-for-Fifth-Grade when I found a step about doing your hair. It’s for girls alone. So may be we can add something for the poor boys/ those with shorter hair? And our 5th grade is probably different from American 5th grade? Because the intro mentions a change if school while we here stay in the same school from 1st to 10th grade. My biggest challenge in 5th grade was the time change. Until 4th grade our reporting time was around 1pm and the reporting time from 5th to 10th grade was 7am. And I had to cope with the new math syllabus with equations and such! Am I making sense here? Let me know if this makes sense to be included in the article. Please correct me if I am misunderstanding something.

@Vishshua That article could definitely stand to be made more universal! You totally make sense:)

@XxVxX Excellent. I’ll add the details about hair and try to add some information about math. I hope others add more to it. Then I’ll add the timings etc too. Edit: I added some details in it.

Welcome aboard everyone!

Hi, I was wondering if it would help if the main category i.e. School Stuff - https://www.wikihow.com/Category:School-Stuff or the link to the stubbed articles in this category is placed either here or the project page. Participants may have a broader list of articles to choose from?

Hey everyone! Since it’s Sunday, I changed the category! (It’s now managing Time during school years) feel free to dive right in, add articles and start editing!

I’ve started and I think this is a great project!

@Anna I think this project is dying again. No one has posted on the discussion page or edited a single article. I am trying but with school in the way it’s hard. I think others would help to but with school and everything in the way this project isn’t going anywhere. XxVxX also kinda dropped out for now because he/she had something else on there hands at the moment.
