It’s that time! There’s a contest starting on who can create the best article in which you can easily complete at home. Here’s the criteria: *Good grammar and Capitalization *Easy to Understand Steps *Good Pictures~Clear pictures and lots of pictures are great, they help make an article clear and concise. * Ability to follow all other rules listed on the Try This at Home page * Must be created by you and from May 19th-June 9th. You can enter by making your article and, then, adding it to the entrant are on the contests page. It’s not a good idea to have a best article contest like this. Any article is a good one as long as it is detailed with pictures and follows wikiHow policies. That’s what featured articles and rising stars are for. They let you know you have done a good job. It’s not fair to choose the best one done. All your rules are basically what is required for a good featured or rising star article. Instead, would you like to help me host maybe new wikiHowies Awards?

Huh? I’m a bit confused. Featured articles and Rising Stars are occurring all the time. Wouldn’t you ever like to get a different form of recognition? Something new and creative, something different? That’s where these contests come in. Stating that it’s a ‘bad idea’ is a little harsh. I admit, there’s pieces of it that need help. The contests died off a few years back however they got many new users interested in wikiHow. Even if they don’t help significantly I think people enjoy them and would like to see somebody win. I guess that’s just my opinion. Thanks for your input, though.:slight_smile:

Anyone. We would prefer for judges to be fairly active but I know some people who aren’t will sign up but hey, c’est la vie. Expected since I’ve got the thing on a first come first serve basis. Would like some participants though, too.:slight_smile:

@Confusionist , can I suggest that you have a time thing for people who want to judge? Like, 3 months on wikiHow. I’m not sure people who have been here a few weeks, or even a month or so should be judging the quality of an article (no offense to anyone - I’m just saying you may not be experienced enough, and I certainly wasn’t at all when I was here for about 6 months!).
