WhatsApp Emojis: A Simple Guide

  1. Enable the Emoji Keyboard in your phone settings.
  2. Open WhatsApp and tap Chats .
  3. Open a conversation in WhatsApp and tap the chat bar.
  4. Select the globe-shaped or smiley face icon on your keyboard to see all WhatsApp emojis.

    • Open your iPhone's Settings .
    • Tap General .
    • Scroll down and tap Keyboard .
    • Make sure Emoji is displayed here. If it isn't, tap Add New Keyboard and then tap Emoji .
  2. Open WhatsApp . It's a green app with a white phone icon encircled in white. [2]

  3. This option is at the bottom of the screen.
    • If WhatsApp opens to a conversation, first tap the "Back" button in the top-left corner of the screen.
  4. This will open the conversation.
    • You can also tap the pencil-and-pad icon in the top-right corner of the screen to formulate a new message.
  5. It's the white field at the bottom of the page.
    • If you're starting a new conversation, first tap a contact's name.
  6. This is the globe-shaped icon in the bottom-left corner of the iPhone keyboard.
    • If the Emoji keyboard is the only additional keyboard you have, this icon resembles a smiley face.
  7. If you have multiple keyboards, you'll need to tap the smiley face icon in the pop-up window above the "Keyboards" icon. [3]
  8. You can tap one of the tabs at the bottom of the screen to select specific groups of emojis, or you can swipe left over the emoji keyboard to scroll through all available emojis. [4]
  9. It's on the right side of the chat bar. Doing so will send your emoji.

  1. It's a green app with a white phone icon on it.
  2. This tab is near the top of the screen.
    • If WhatsApp opens to a conversation, first tap the "Back" button in the top-left corner of the screen.
  3. This will open the conversation in question. [5]
    • You can also tap the "New Message" button in the bottom-right corner of the screen and then select a contact to start a new conversation.
  4. It's the smiley-face icon on the left side of the chat bar that's at the bottom of the screen. [6]
  5. You can tap a tab near the top of the emoji window to browse through emoji categories, or you can swipe left across the emojis to scroll through them. [7]
  6. It's on the right side of the chat bar. This will send your emoji(s) to the conversation.

    Just go to the Animal Section and search for the paw print: 🐾. You’ll find many animals and paw prints in the animal section. You won’t find any in in the emojis section.
