If this is on the PC, you can just keep left-clicking on the actions. You can also just create a room, make the mom go inside, delete the door, and wait for her to give birth. I've never done a home birth, but I expect the second option would work better.

You can only do pregnancy tests in The Sims 4, right after you've completed the Try For Baby option. The only indicator in The Sims 3 that a Sim is pregnant is if they go to vomit for unknown reasons and not because of a trait (such as eating meat when a vegetarian), or when the pregnancy moodlet appears.

Only the 'Try for Baby' action can get a Sim pregnant. The 'WooHoo' action has no chance of pregnancy. Try clicking on 'Try for Baby' next time. If it doesn't come up in the actions menu, increase the relationship between the two sims.

What you have to do is get to the most romantic you can get, then make them both relax on a twin sim bed, then click on the sim you are not playing as and press cuddle [you will have to do this a couple of times] then you will get a choice to either woohoo or try for baby when you hear a lullaby, your sim is successfully pregnant.
