You will not be able to find these animals outside, so I would recommend looking in a pet store for one.
  • Question
What if I found a breeder who ships sugar gliders on a pet-safe American Sounds plane?
    Community Answer
Check out the airline anyway, to make sure. If it isn't too far away, I would still recommend driving as flying can cause the sugar gliders ears to pop and can cause stress-induced illnesses.

  • Question
I’ve seen sugar gliders being sold in Repticon and am currently trying to convince my mom to get one. Do the gliders there grow up safely?
    Community Answer
I wouldn't know whether or not they "grow safely"; however, keeping sugar gliders as pets is unnatural, unsafe, and unruly. Sugar gliders are wild animals, and as much as I can agree they are adorable and cuddly-looking, keeping them as pets is not fair; they have not been bred to be pets. Breeders today are taking them from the wild and breeding them from that point. Please consider a different pet: a similar pet that is bred to be in captivity is the chinchilla - high maintenance, but super fluffy and adorable!
