  • Question
If I am 12 years old and saving up for an iPhone7 and I really want one, how do I make my parents believe that I really want a new phone?
    Amy Harrison
    Top Answerer
The best way to get something you want, but your parents disagree with, is to show that you are responsible enough to have a phone. Tell your parents how an iPhone would benefit you -- including that you can keep in contact if there is an emergency, etc. However, it would be much easier and effective to save up for an older generation of iPhone as, of course, they are cheapest, therefore easier to save for. Also, an older phone may make it easier to get your parents to trust you with an iPhone as they probably don't want to hold the risk of having you break an expensive phone.
  • Question
Can I just spend a dollar every day and get $100.00 at the rate of getting $5.00 a week?
    Amy Harrison
    Top Answerer
If that dollar is going to unnecessary items, then restrain yourself from doing so. It's completely pointless and will soon be regretted. Try your best to save as much money as you can to reach your goal even quicker.
  • Question
I am pretty young and my neighbors probably don't need me to do jobs for them like the ones you listed above. Do you have any possible ideas of how to earn money by doing jobs?
    Amy Harrison
    Top Answerer
You could do jobs for your parents, siblings, friends or other relatives. You don't have to limit yourself to one job; you can go around asking your neighborhood for paid jobs such as car washing or mowing the lawn. However, take a friend or family member with you!
  • Question
How can a 11 year old save money?
    Drew Hawkins1
    Community Answer
There are a bunch of ways you can save up some money! Ask your parents for an allowance, or ask them if you can earn some money by doing extra chores or projects. You can also ask your neighbors if there are any jobs that you can do such as cleaning or mowing their yard, or washing their car. You could even start up a lemonade stand to sell refreshing drinks to people to earn money. When you do get some money, keep it somewhere safe and where you won't be easily tempted to spend it, such as in a piggy bank that you hide in your closet.
  • Question
How can a 14 year old save money?
    Drew Hawkins1
    Community Answer
An easy way for you to save up money without spending it is to set a specific goal for yourself. For example, if you want to buy a new video game that costs $50, then knowing that you need to reach that goal will help you keep and save any money that you earn. Don't keep all of your money in your wallet or you may be tempted to spend it. Instead, place it somewhere where it's safe and out of sight, such as in a drawer in your room or in a box in your closet. Keep track of the money you add to your savings so you know when you've reached your goal.
  • Question
How can I make money as a teenager?
    Drew Hawkins1
    Community Answer
There are a variety of ways you can try to make some money as a teenager. If you like kids and adults think you're responsible, you could be a babysitter. Ask your parents to tell their friends and put up flyers advertising your babysitting services so you can drum up some business. You could also offer to walk people's dogs for money. Try to organize walking several people's dogs so you can make even more of a profit! If you have a lawnmower that you know how to operate, another great way to make money is to mow people's lawns. Ask your neighbors if they need their grass cut and try to cut multiple yards in a day to earn a pretty penny for your hard work.
