Having problems hearing videos on YouTube or YouTube TV? If you don't have sound on YouTube but have sound on everything else, it's usually a problem with your browser or app. Here's what to do when the sound is not working on YouTube on your computer, Android, iPhone, iPad, or TV.
Why Is YouTube Playing Without Sound?
If your YouTube videos suddenly have no sound, make sure your volume is turned on for your device and that the tab or browser is unmuted. Ad-blockers can also cause YouTube to have no sound, so disable it if you have one.
Steps

If you have an ad-blocker enabled when trying to watch YouTube, you may have sound or video issues. Turn off your ad-blocker , restart your browser, and then try watching the video again.
-
At the bottom-left of the video, you'll find the volume slider. Hover your cursor over the volume slider, and then drag the circle all the way to the right to increase the volume. [1] X Research source
