Keep select photos private on your Samsung Galaxy with the Secure Folder app
Do you want to hide photos on your Samsung Galaxy? Using Secure Folder

Open your Galaxy's Gallery app. By default, it has a burgundy icon with an image that looks like a snowflake. You can find it on your home screen or apps menu. You can view and edit all your photos and videos in the Gallery app.
- Using the Secure Folder to hide pictures will place your images in an encrypted folder that requires a PIN, password, or biometrics to access. This is the most secure way to hide pictures on a Samsung Galaxy.
- You need to set up the secure folder before you can use it. To set up the secure folder, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the gear icon to open the Settings menu. Tap the Pictures tab. It’s located in the bottom-left corner next to the “Albums” tab. This will open a list of all your photos.

Tap and hold the photo(s) you want to hide. This places a blue checkmark in the upper-right corner of the image thumbnail.
- Optionally, you can select multiple photos at once. To do so, tap and hold the first picture, and then tap any additional pictures you want to include. This will place a blue checkmark on the selected photos.

Tap the â‹® More icon. It’s the icon with three dots in the bottom-right corner. This will open all your photo options on a pop-up menu on the right-hand side of your screen.

Tap the Move to Secure Folder option. This will hide all the selected photos by moving them to the Secure Folder.
- When you're prompted to confirm your action on a new page, provide your Secure Folder fingerprint, PIN, or password to move the photos.

Open the Secure Folder app. The Secure Folder app looks like a white folder with a key in a blue square icon on your Apps menu. You can find and view your hidden photos in this app.
- You will need to enter your password, PIN, or use your biometrics to access the Secure Folder.

Tap the Gallery icon in the Secure Folder app. This will open a grid of all your hidden photos.

Hiding Albums
