That's kind of a big question. The short answer is, I hope so! But Justin Bieber's fans have been increasingly worried about him lately—and for lots of good reasons.
His behavior has been pretty erratic over the last few months. He seemed a little off when performing on stage with SZA this past May, as he sang with his eyes closed and appeared to be physically uncomfortable. When SZA cupped his chin with her hand, he smiled and kissed her palm, leaving fans to wonder if the two performers could be involved in a romantic relationship or if he was not feeling well during the concert (or both).
Fans became even more concerned after videos of him engaged in a heated conversation with a photographer outside Soho House in Malibu started circulating on social media last week. In the video, Bieber asks the photographer (and what seems to be a group of paparazzi), "It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business, is it?" ( Standing on business means working hard and taking care of your responsibilites.) He's got my sympathies, here: Bieber's been famous for a long, long time, and while we don't know for sure what's going on in this video, we do know paparazzi have a history of being excessively intrusive toward celebrities and even provoking them to get a reaction.
But it wasn't just the video that concerned fans—it was Bieber's response on social media in a recent Instagram post in which he says, "People keep telling me to heal. Don’t you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already?" (complete with a middle finger emoji).
Fans have speculated he could be dealing with drug abuse and/or that the recent court case involving Sean "Diddy" Combs—Bieber's former mentor and collaborator—was triggering stress and causing him to "crash out." Additionally, rumors have been circulating that his marriage to Hailey Bieber might be on the rocks and that Bieber is leaving his longtime LA church, Churchome—but these are just rumors, so take them with a grain of salt. I hope he feels more like himself soon! He deserves it.
