I have a boyfriend and I don't know how he's going to react when he finds out I'm a lesbian. I need help, please.

I’m doing something of an informal investigation and I’d love some of your help. Basically, I just don’t get why people get tattoos. I totally understand the premise behind having something you like and wanting to identify with it, but why does that identification need to include permanent ink? Even then, some of the tattoos just seem so odd to me. Take a blackout tattoo—what’s the point of something like that? Or the traditional American tattoos, how can something have deep meaning for you if everyone has the same designs? So what do you think, wikiHow? Why did you (or someone you know) get a tattoo? What am I missing?

And while I think that some guys are attractive, I don't get butterflies thinking about them the same way I do when I think about women. Am I a lesbian or am I bisexual?
