Easy ways to see tweets from someone who blocked you on X
Any user can block you on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the past, this used to mean you couldn't see their tweets unless you signed out of your blocked account. However, the blocking function has changed—you can now view any public account's tweets, whether you're blocked or unblocked. Here's everything you need to know about viewing a blocked Twitter account or tweets of a Twitter user who blocked you.
Viewing a Blocked Account
- You can now view the tweets of any Twitter/X user, even if they have blocked you.
- To view their tweets, search for their username to open their profile, or click their username on any of their reply tweets.
- In the past, you'd need to log out of your Twitter account or open an incognito browser tab.

How to View Tweets If You're Blocked
-
Go to a user's profile. In the past, when X was Twitter, you had to log out of your account to view an account that blocked you. However, you can now view tweets from any public account, even if they have you blocked. [1] X Research source
- You can use this method to view the account of someone who blocked you on both the X website and using the X mobile app.
-
View the tweets. You can find the user's posts below their bio. If the user has a public account, you should be able to see all their posts and reposts, even if you're blocked. If the user has a private account, you won't be able to see any posts or reposts.
- Keep in mind that being blocked will still keep you from interacting with the user and their posts. You can view posts, but you won't be able to reply, repost, or message them directly.

Section 2 of 5:
Using an Alternate Account
-
Go to the blocked account. Open X in a web browser and go to the user who has blocked you on X.
- Note: As of November 2024, you no longer need to log out of X to view posts of a public account that has blocked you. However, if you want to interact with the tweets, you'll need to use an alternate account to like, comment, or repost them.
-
Copy the profile address. Move to the URL box and copy their X page's URL in the address bar.
-
Log out of X. Select your profile picture, then select Log out . Alternatively, open a private or incognito tab on your browser to skip the log-out step.
-
4Log in to another account. Since you can't view tweets without an account, you'll need to log into an alternate account.
-
Paste their X URL into your browser's address bar and hit the Enter button. This will load up the X profile of the user who has blocked you.
- You can now see and interact with the tweets from your alternate account.
