The 1 is the number of verbal self-expression and the 5 is the number of the heart and emotions. In the context of a relationship, 1155 is saying each partner needs to verbalize (1) something to the other in order to fully access, express, and/or activate the love between them (5). There may be something left unsaid or repressed that needs to come out so love can fully bloom.

There is some great insight on the question here, so I'll just add two cents :)

I would read 11:55 as a sequential message, meaning time refers to time. The 11th hour is a reference to the master number "11" known for it's reference to shadow work.

55 is known for being a "power number" indicating a need for radical change and healing.

The two being shown together could be a sign that radical shadow work is needed on your part. Don't be afraid to reach out for help in your blind spots, outside perspective could be very useful!
