Why

As an immigrant, the practice of writing is what truly helped Bertha learn English, and she found the wealth of knowledge that flowed from it to be invaluable. Writing for wikiHow now allows her to share this wealth via the written word, helping others navigate our ever-changing world– the only home we've ever known.

Secret Talents

Bertha can wiggle her ears, eat her weight in spicy noodles, and has been collecting fortune cookie fortunes for about 20 years. Her favorite one reads, "He who is shipwrecked twice cannot lay the blame on Neptune."
