Why isn’t Steam opening?

Steam may fail to open because of a cluttered system cache. Restarting your computer may help. You might also need to force-quit Steam processes in your Task Manager or run Steam as an administrator. If basic fixes don’t work, reinstall Steam. Disable any software or hardware that might be interfering with Steam.

When the Caches folder opens, press Command+A to select all the contents. Right-click or Control-click on the selected files and select Move to Trash .

Uninstall and reinstall Steam.
