The Saja Boys from KPop Demon Hunters
isn't a real musical group, but they were inspired by a lot of other K-pop performers. In an interview with Forbes
, director Maggie Kang mentions that the Saja Boys took inspiration from Tomorrow X Together, BTS, ATEEZ, Monsta X, BIGBANG, and Stray Kids. She also said that anime and K-drama actors inspired some of the characters.
In Korean, "Saja" means "lion," which could be a play on words since the Saja Boys are lyin' about who they really are, but it also is the shortened form of Jeoseung Saja, or the Korean grim reaper.
