Any home remedies for chigger bites? So dang itchy
I feel like I've been scratching non-stop since I got back from my last hike, and I know for a fact it's because I got eaten alive by chiggers. Scratching this itch obviously isn't working for me, so I am desperate for any tips and tricks you have to just get me some relief.

Ugh chiggers are the worst and I swear I get a few bites every summer. My biggest recommendation is applying some hydrocortisone cream or calamine lotion on the bites to relieve itching. Any allergy medicines or antihistamines can also help stop the itching.
If you don't have any medicine or lotion, try holding a cold compress over the bites to relieve the pain and itching, and make sure you wash the bites with soapy water. I've also had some luck putting clear nail polish over the bites and the itching has gone away.

Running hot water over my bites helped! The hotter the water, the better (without burning yourself of course. Just go as hot as you can stand.). This should provide some relief.

This might sound weird but the last time I had chigger bites, my friend told me to put nail polish on the bites so I did and the bites went away in just a few days. Apparently the nail polish makes the chiggers suffocate.
