My gf and I have been together for 2 years and I want to do something special and different for Valentine's Day. Our go-to for nice dates is usually just dinner and a movie and that's fun but it would be nice to try something new and creative. So hit me with your best ideas!

Here are some fun Valentine's Day date activites I've tried (or have been wanting to try):

-You can make your go-to dinner-and-a-movie plan more unique and creative with just a few tweaks. For instance, instead of going out to eat, go to a fancy grocery store and buy groceries you'd normally never buy, then go home and make a meal out of it and eat it in bed. Or instead of a movie, go see a play, musical, or comedy show--something you don't ordinarily see.
-Try a new activity together: take a cooking class or an art class or a dance class, something that will get your creative juices flowing while also letting you bond/be more intimate.
-Volunteer somewhere together, like at a dog shelter (bonus, you'll get plenty of puppy kisses).
-Do an adventurous activity like geocaching or an escape room, or a physical activity like hiking, kayaking, white water rafting, etc.
-If you're drinkers, go on a brewery/winery tour or a bar crawl to your favorite bars/bars you've never been to.
-If it's warm enough, make up a nice picnic basket with your favorite foods and some wine and have a nice picnic outside (or if it's not warm, just have a picnic in your living room).

Maybe instead of a movie you can take your girlfriend to a comedy show! I feel like all the laughing usually puts my girlfriend into a good mood and it makes the rest of the night that much better. You can also consider switching it up by swapping your movie out for a more interactive or mobile activity. For something more interactive, you could take a class or go to a board game cafe. For something more mobile, you could go on a hike or go dancing.

On Valentine's Day, my boyfriend and I have a tradition of recreating our first date. We eat dinner at the same restaurant, stroll around the same area, and grab ice cream at the same dessert place. It gives us a chance to reminisce and appreciate how close we've grown since our first date. I think it's a sweet tradition.

My girlfriend loves cooking so on Valetine's Day she'll usually cook us a lovely meal. She likes to go for "fancy" recipes to make the meal feel extra romantic, like in the past she's made lobster ravioli, scallops, things like that. I'll pick up a nice bottle of wine and a dessert and light some candles for the table. Then after dinner, we give each other massages and enjoy some intimate time. Feels like a classic Valentine's Day!

We've also wanted to try something new a creative though! So in recent years we've switched up our routine in a couple ways. One swap we made last year was instead of massages, we did some partner yoga (don't get intimidated by all the impressive photos that come up when you first Google this, there are beginner poses!). We also tried some sweet creative activities, like writing poems for each other or drawing pictures of each other.
