Blush should be applied to the apples of the cheeks—the area that puffs when your smile—and blended along the upper cheekbone. You can apply it with a brush, sponge, or fingers. Fingers and sponges are best for cream blush.

Cream blush is can give you a fresh look. It's less intense than powder blush, and it looks more like skin, so it's great if your skin has more texture. Powder blush gives you more longevity, but it typically looks best on younger, less textured skin.
  • Question
Do I use a cream or powder highlighter with cream blush?
    Cecilia Flores
    Top Answerer
You can use either. Try cream blush on the "no makeup" makeup days, when you're going to be in water (at the beach or pool) but you still want makeup, or if you're not going to wear any base makeup. If you're going to wear it with base makeup, remember to set it. Then you can use any highlighter you want!
  • Question
Do I apply blush before finishing powder?
    Community Answer
Yes, this is the correct order to remember and use. If you put it on the other way around, your look won't be finished and you'd miss out on that essential glow!
