  • Question
Can I apply to Air Canada when I am in Africa? If I qualify, how do I move to Canada?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
Yes, you can apply to Air Canada. But qualifying doesn't mean you will automatically be granted a Canadian passport. You will have to meet all the criteria Canada has put in place before they give you a Canadian passport, and even though having qualified will certainly be a plus in this application procedure, it is by no means a guarantee. Air Canada will not just give you a passport, nor are they likely to pay for your moving to Canada. So if you qualify for a job at Air Canada, start the passport application procedure; once you have that, pay for your flight to Canada and rent or buy a place to live that's near a Canadian airport.
  • Question

If you hold a Canadian passport, yes, you can apply. But you have to be ready to show up for training in case you are contacted, as well as relocate to the airline base if hired.
