The best thing to do is save before you fight. Use a quick ball at the start of the fight; if it fails, use not very affective moves to lower its health. If you kill it, press left bumper + right bumper + start + select, and the game will reset to the last save you had.

Who is stronger Xerneas or Yveltal?
    Community Answer
Xerneas is better competitively if you need an offensive sweeper, but if you don’t it struggles to fill other roles. Yveltal has the advantage of being adaptable and unpredictable. Commonly it serves as a wall breaker thanks to its bulk and strong moves, but it can also be a stall breaker, revenge kill sweepers, physical defender, and more.
