    Expert Answer
A lot of professional scientists and researchers use previous work as inspiration for new ideas. Think about a topic you're interested in and while you're doing your background research, consider what questions current research hasn't answered or how you might modify their approach to solving a particular problem to address a new or outstanding question.
  • Question
What kind of project can I do?
    Community Answer
You should do a project that interests you. Make sure that you can afford it, and that you can complete it within the specified time range.
  • Question
How can I make a display board?
    Community Answer
First, get a tri-fold display panel from a local store. You could also buy a piece of posterboard and fold that, or make one from cardboard from a big box and cover it with a large piece of paper or smaller pieces that support a color theme. Next, make sure your fonts and sizes will fit on the surface of the panel. The first panel on the left should contain your introduction, the middle panel should hold your procedure and the last panel on the right should tell about your conclusion. Hope this helps, and good luck!
  • Question
How do I organize the board? Where does each piece of information go?
    Community Answer
The abstract should be the first thing the reader sees. Organize it however it looks logical to you, and naturally draws the attention of your readers.

  • Question
I don't understand what a graph is and what it does. Can you help me?

  • Question
Where do I include your name on a science fair display board?
    Community Answer
On the back of the display board. It is the best place to include your name because then you don't have to worry about having enough space to write your name in the front of the display board, and when your board is closed, everyone will be able to see your name before seeing your project.
  • Question
Can it be related to sex?
    Community Answer
I would recommend avoiding any NSFW topics for your science fair project just so you don't accidentally offend someone or get in trouble with school authorities.
