How long it takes to find villages depends on your world seed, and since every world seed is random, it is impossible to tell you how long it would take you to find a village. You can find villages by just exploring your world. Villages can appear in deserts, plains, savannas, snowy tundras, and taigas. If you play in Bedrock Edition, villages can also generate in sunflower plains, taiga hills, and snowy taiga and its variants. Just keep looking in these biomes until you spot some buildings or paved dirt.
