    Expert Answer
You need to rest your muscles. It might sound counterintuitive, but a cold bath or shower can loosen up your muscles enough so they're more pliable. Same thing with heat. Ideally, you would switch back and forth from hot to cold, like with a heating pad and an ice pack if it's a particular muscle or a hot shower and a cold bath if it's your whole body. Make sure you get plenty of sleep too.

What routine should I use to help me be flexible faster?
    Community Answer
Before any stretch make sure you have a bottle of water to make sure you don't dehydrate. First I suggest to start of by running in place for 2 minutes, then do lunges for another 2 minutes, then stretch out your arms, sit on your knees then tuck one leg under the leg you're siting on and hold in that position for a good 2 minutes, then switch legs. After that spread out your legs and put your elbows on the ground, hold it like that for approximately 1 and a half minutes, after that reach out and grab your toes. Then do ten burpees and 20 good push-ups, then do a butterfly for your knees to come all the way down. Repeat that 2 times a day and don't forget to keep hydrated.
