I want to hide a post from my friend on Instagram, so they won't know that I have done.

You cannot hide a post from a specific person. Either you make your entire profile private or block the person you don't like, or you could just post the sensitive post in a second, anonymous account for only a few others to see without telling that particular friend about it.
