  • Question
How can I change my luck if everything around me seems to go wrong?
    Community Answer
Try doing the opposite of what you would usually do. For example, if you usually bet on odd numbers, try betting even numbers instead. Another example would be, when interacting with people who are close to you, behave in a way that is different than they might expect, especially if you can be a bit grumpy or negative. Changing your own attitude or behavior might change your luck for the better.
  • Question
I do all these things, but I'm not lucky. Am I unlucky by nature?
    Community Answer
Sometimes luck happens in the things that don't happen. You say you're unlucky but you are still here to say that, so perhaps you're luckier than you know. Try not to confuse the small emotional turmoils and the relational conflicts experienced on a daily basis with a lack of luck; these things are normal for everyone. As for wanting more money, a better job, fame or whatever else, those need more than just luck (although luck plays a role) -- they also need determination, focus and effort. Last but not least, your self talk matters. If you go around telling people you're not lucky, you will start to believe it and it will be self-fulfilling. Minimize the negative talk and you will feel more empowered and capable.

Put the laws of attraction to work here. What you give out you get back. Also, what you think you are is what you become. It sounds so simple because it is. You have to work on forgetting your past and forgiving, then learn to love yourself. The universe is totally abundant and will work with you if you put in your share of the work. Begin to believe that you can be successful, act upon that belief and things will get better. It will take time but it is well worth it. It all starts with a shift in attitude toward the positive.
  • Question
Doesn't luck depend more on the amount of effort you put forth, as well as your confidence levels?
    Community Answer
Some would say yes, while others would say no. For many people, luck is no more than a fortuitous opportunity that you take advantage of, after which you put in the effort to make sure you don't waste the opportunity. For others, you make your own luck by putting in the effort to seek out opportunities.
  • Question
I've had bad luck for ages and its getting annoying now. Having autism doesn't help. I never get opportunities and so I'm very negative. What do I do?
    Community Answer
Realize that you have it within you to make your own opportunities by making an effort to improve your skills. It can help to cultivate a positive outlook but not a silly, unrealistic one that pretends to "attract" luck to you; luck exists whatever you think. Instead, seize opportunities when they come up, network with people who can help you and use your initiative rather than waiting for something good to happen. And don't listen to people who are always negative, they are trying to offload their problems onto others and are of no help.
