  • Question
What if the songs on the playlist don't get burned onto the disk in the right order?
    Community Answer
You will have to start all over with a new CD. This rarely happens, however.
  • Question
What if my laptop doesn't have a CD drive?
    Community Answer
You can buy a USB CD reader from Amazon, or most likely any electronics store. It attaches to your computer with a USB cable.
  • Question
Can I upload it to YouTube or sell it on eBay if it contains music from third parties?
    Community Answer
You could definitely get sued if you're making a profit from other people's music, i.e. selling a mix CD on eBay. You should be fine uploading to YouTube, but you should link to the original songs in the description.
  • Question
What if I only want bits of the song on the CD?
    Community Answer
You can use a song cutter app that can cut the songs to your needs. You can get them free online.
  • Question
My car's CD player lists and plays the songs in my CD mix in alphabetical order, and wont play them in the original order, as they are on the disc. How can I overcome this?
    Community Answer
Unfortunately, this may not be fixable in your case. However, there may be some way to change the setting for your car. I would recommend fumbling with the settings, and if all else fails, go to a professional or contact your dealership.
  • Question
Is it entirely legal (in UK law preferable) to make such a mix, as a gift for a friend/family member? Given that I own a copy of the music but not the rights to distribute.

It is OK. Just do not sell the mix; you could get sued if you try to make profit from other people's music.
