If I put 4 mollies then will they be fine in stagnant water? The pot is almost 1.3 ft wide and the depth is 20 cm.

Mollies get four inches long and are messy. Do not place them in any pot that is not filtered. They need more between 20 gallons for four of them. Sailfin mollies are bigger and need more space than what I wrote for normal mollies.

Just adding a few minnows will keep the frog population down as they will eat the frog eggs. Or, you could install an ornamental waterfall or running fountain in the pond. It disrupts the water, which creates an unpleasant place for frogs to lay their eggs.
