Soaking your nail tips in acetone is the easiest way to remove any glue, but if you don't want to do that, you could try gently filing the glue away.
  • Question
How do I not get nail polish on my skin?
    Community Answer
Put nail polish remover or Vaseline around your skin so the polish won't stick to it.
  • Question
Will the methods above work for all types of artificial nail glue?
    Community Answer
Yes, it will. Just remove the glue carefully. If you do it at home it will probably work fine, but it would be safer to do it at a nail salon. It only costs $5-$10.
  • Question
What can I do if nail glue is stuck to the fake nail after applying them?
    BeautyRoomConfessions
    Community Answer
If you have that color polish, use acetone and scrape it off, not letting the acetone sit on the acrylic nail too long as it'll eat through it, but just scrape it, scratch at it, agitate it, and it should come off. Then either repaint or just do another top coat to add the shine back to the nail (buff it if you really have to, but remember it is thin). If the worst comes to the worst, add a few rhinestones to cover it up temporarily.
  • Question
How to I get lots of nail glue off my nails?
    BeautyRoomConfessions
    Community Answer
Use acetone on cotton balls, then wrap it around your fingers with tin foil, and leave on for 10 minutes.
  • Question
I can't get my false nails off, no matter how hard I try and I am too busy to go to a nail salon. What should I do?
    BeautyRoomConfessions
    Community Answer
Put pure acetone on cotton balls, take a soaked cotton ball to the nail, press it firmly onto the acrylic, on the area where it has adhered to your natural nail, using tin foil so it stays right in place (this prevents you from having to handle the acetone a lot). Place an acetone soaked cotton ball or 2 on every nail using the tin foil to keep them in place while the acetone eats away at the acrylic nail and glue.
  • Question
Is it okay to put a nail hardener or strengthener polish after I take acrylics off?
    BeautyRoomConfessions
    Community Answer
Yes! I suggest smothering cuticle oil on your nails/cuticles too, and do this whenever you think of it. Oil is your nails' best friend; check out Bliss Kiss's website.
