Depends on the species of katydid and the species of cricket. If it's a pet shop feeder cricket, then most species of katydid will not interact with it in any meaningful way. If it is a predatory katydid, like a red-eyed devil katydid, it will likely attack instantly even if it is a very young nymph around the same size as the cricket. If the cricket is a predatory cricket, such as a Jerusalem cricket, then it will attack the katydid as well.
