    Karin
    Top Answerer
An accounting officer can look at the books and the financials of the farming operation and use that analysis to determine what is succeeding and what is not, or what needs improvement and what is doing well. As an accounting officer, it is more your job to provide advice on what is going to work for that farming operation in order to help improve that farming operation.
  • Question
How much will it cost to start from zero?
    Karin
    Top Answerer
It depends on the size of the farm and type of farm you are wanting to start. When starting from zero, you're pretty much starting with a land-base, and you need to purchase that land-base. The more land you buy, the more you have to pay for it. Next, you have to build facilities, like a barn (or two), corrals and pens, feed storage areas, and a house to live in, and install water well(s), plumbing, electricity, etc. You could find that starting from zero may cost you anywhere from $50,000 to well over $5,000,000. This is why, when starting a farm, it's best if you don't start from zero, but rather start small with a farm that already has its facilities in place.

The exact quantity will depend on factors like the species, environment and quality of the feed. However, 2 kg of feed is required to get a bird up to 1 kg weight. Also 25 bags of 25 kg feed will raise 100 birds to 8 weeks of age.
  • Question
How do I make the place for my livestock?
    Nkenna Aneke
    Community Answer
It depends on the type of livestock you want to go into, the requirements for cattle, sheep and goats are quite different from those of birds and others. Cattle sheds require just enough protection from the elements and some grazing space, birds are more sensitive to the weather and will require a well lit and warm space, especially when they are young and yet to develop enough feathers.
