This wikiHow teaches you how to prevent Facebook Messenger from accessing your location on an Android phone. You can disable all of Facebook Messenger's location access from within your Android's Settings app.
Steps

Open your Android's Settings. Swipe down from the top of your Android's screen, then tap the Settings icon.
- You cannot disable location sharing from within the Messenger app.

Tap Apps . It's near the bottom of the screen. This opens a list of apps on your Android.
- On a Samsung Galaxy, be sure to tap the Apps option that has "Default apps, App permissions" listed below it.
- You may need to scroll down a bit to see this option.

Scroll down and tap Messenger . This option should be in the "M" section of the menu. Doing so opens a list of options for Facebook Messenger.

Tap Permissions . It's near the bottom of the screen.
