How to Update WhatsApp on iPhone or iPad

This wikiHow teaches you how to download and install the latest app update for WhatsApp Messenger from the App Store, using an iPhone or iPad.

Steps

Find and tap theon your home screen to open the App Store.
This button looks like a downward arrow in a box icon on a navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. It will open a list of all the latest, available updates for your apps.

Scroll down and find WhatsApp Messenger under the Available heading. The WhatsApp icon looks like a white speech bubble and a telephone in a green square.
- If you don't see WhatsApp on the Available list, this means your app is up to date.

Tap the UPDATE button next to WhatsApp Messenger. This will download the latest app update for WhatsApp, and install it on your iPhone or iPad.
- If you're not automatically signed in to the App Store, you may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password to confirm the update.
