How to respond to "Get a sense of humor" 🤦🏼♀️
I’ve been in that situation too. Honestly, the best way I’ve found to handle it is to pause and decide if the joke was actually harmless or if it crossed a line. If it’s harmless, I just laugh it off or change the subject—it avoids awkwardness. But if it was offensive, I’ll calmly say something like, “I get jokes, but that one didn’t really land for me.” That way you’re not coming off defensive, but you’re still setting boundaries.
