Wavelength Calculator
Wavelength is the distance between two consecutive peaks or troughs of a wave. It can be calculated using the following formula:
wavelength = speed of light / frequency
Where the speed of light is a constant value of 2.998 x 10^8 m/s, and frequency is the number of waves passing through a given point per second, measured in Hertz (Hz).
For electromagnetic waves, such as light, the wavelength can also be calculated using the following formula:
wavelength = c / v
Where c is the speed of light and v is the velocity of the wave in the medium through which it is traveling.
For sound waves, the wavelength can be calculated using the following formula:
wavelength = v / f
Where v is the velocity of sound in the medium, and f is the frequency of the sound wave.
Note that wavelength is typically measured in meters (m).
