5. Leave the situation if you can, e.g. take a short walk.
6. Repeat slow, gentle phrases to yourself, like “take it easy,” “you’re OK,” or “cool off.”
7. Visualize yourself in a relaxed, calm place, like an empty beach or field.
8. Replace negative thoughts with positive ones, e.g. “I know I can do this, and getting angry won’t help me.”
9. Call a trusted friend or family member if you still need to vent.
