Mochi Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 cup mochiko (sweet rice flour)
* 1/4 cup sugar
* 1 cup water
* Potato starch or cornstarch for dusting
Instructions:
* In a large bowl, mix together the mochiko and sugar.
* Gradually add the water to the mixture, stirring constantly until a smooth dough forms.
* Cover the dough with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 1 minute.
* Remove the plastic wrap and stir the dough with a spatula.
* Cover the dough again and microwave on high for another 1 minute.
* Remove the dough from the microwave and stir it until it becomes smooth and elastic.
* Place a sheet of parchment paper on a flat surface and dust it with potato starch or cornstarch.
* Place the dough on the parchment paper and dust the top with more potato starch or cornstarch.
* Roll out the dough to your desired thickness, using a rolling pin dusted with potato starch or cornstarch to prevent sticking.
* Cut the dough into small pieces and serve the mochi.
Note: You can also add food coloring or flavorings to the dough, such as matcha powder or strawberry puree, for added color and taste.
