Paper jams and other printer issues can be really frustrating. Fortunately, most minor issues can be fixed with a simple clean. Usually, all you need to do is run the automatic cleaning function that most printers have. If that doesn’t work, you can manually clean the paper rollers and the cartridges. You just need a clean cloth and some water. Your printer can be clean in no time!
How to Clean Your Printer
If your printer has an automatic cleaning function, start by running that. If your printer is still clogged, clean the paper rollers with a damp cloth and dry them off, and clean the printer cartridges by soaking the nozzles in warm water until you see ink. Then, dry the cartridges and put them back.

Check your manual to see if you can activate a clean from the control panel. Get out the manual that came with your printer and find “cleaning” or a similar term in the index. Follow the directions to use the buttons on the printer to start an automatic clean. Each printer is different, so that’s why it’s important to use the directions that came with your make and model.
