How to Write a WhatsApp Status

  1. Open WhatsApp on a mobile device.
  2. Tap the Add Status button (plus sign) in the upper right corner.
  3. Tap the white button to take a picture or record a video.
  4. Tap the Send button (paper airplane) at the bottom right corner of your screen.

    Use WhatsApp's tools to add text, emoji, and drawings on your Status update. [4]
